Hon. Abdulhammed Salawu (Dullar), The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government has initiated the Second Edition of FREE ICT TRAINING for youths in Somolu. The last edition can be seen here https://gotechwithsotech.simdif.com/
This year's edition is tagged #SKILLSHOP with the theme "SKILLUP WITH SKILLSHOP"
SKILLSHOP was declared open on Debruay26 by Hon. Abdulhammed Salawu, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government who was competently represented by The council chairman and the Supervisor for Agric and Sports, Hon. Hector Ayo-Coker. He emphasized the need to make youths self sufficient via tech skills.
It is a 4 days free tech bootcamp where tech skills like FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPMENT AND UI/UX DESIGN are taught by seasoned tech facilitators who will teach and mentor attendees for the duration of the bootcamp.
In addition, promising attendees will be offered 6 weeks scholarship to further deepen their skill in the chosen learning track of UI/UX and Front-End Web Development.
The program is being held in partnership with SOMOLU TECH INNOVATION and TECH SHEPHERD who will be providing technical content and resources to enrich the participants or attendees.
#SKILLSHOP EXTENSION/CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE
#SKILLSHOP may have been concluded but extension of the training as promised by the organizers continued today, Saturday February 09 2024 with UI/UX class.
The participants also received certificate of participation for the just concluded #SKILLSHOP.
The extension class was to further deepen the skill and understanding of youths/participants in tech skill as part of the commitments of the Hon. Abdulhammed Salawu Dullar's ICT policy.
The extension class took place at Tech Shepherd's Place and recorded 15 attendees.
